It always amazes me to see programmers/admins who cannot touch type. And some of them are experienced programmers with decades of experience. Isn't touch typing a fundamental skill of using computers? If you have to look at the screen and then look down to see what keys you're going to press, it really slows down productivity. If you're going to play the piano, you have to learn to use all 10 fingers. Why shouldn't it be the same with using a computer? And it's not like it's that hard to learn how to touch type. I just don't see how programmers can get by without knowing how to touch type.
