Yesterday, I attended the local training of The Truth Project in Chattanooga, TN. A friend had invited us to participate in a Truth Project study at their church. And I was impressed with the video after the first session. So, when I found out that there was going to be a training in Chattanooga, I signed up for it. And it seemed like there was not going to be one in Atlanta in the foreseeable future.

There were 318 preregistered for the training yesterday, in addition to the many walkups. And they had ran out of DVDs to hand out. The training was hosted at City Church and organized by the Family Action Council of TN. And they did a good job of hosting the event.

I am impressed by all aspects of the Truth Project. Dr Del Tackett did a great job presenting the material on the DVD. The contect is very scriptural and relevant. And from what I've seen so far, I think all believers should go through this. The DVDs, training, and website are all professionally done. And I only had to pay $79 for the DVDs and the training.

One interesting thing happened at the event. I was sitting in the front center waiting for the training to start. Then a guy comes and sits down next to me and says, "All right. Front center". Then I joked, "It's saved for you." We chatted a bit and found out that he's a biology/physics teacher in a local high school. Well, then we chatted about my forum and that I love to debate science and Christianity. We had a good conversation and for lunch we talked more at his favoriate local sandwich shop, Golly Whoppers, while I ate a Golly Dog. I commented later that I was joking when I said the seat was saved for him, but seems like God really did mean for us to sit together.
