The Superbowl is not exactly known for anything related to religion. But, this year, I can’t think of another Superbowl where both coaches are so outspoken about their faith.
Tony Dungy is quoted saying: “The Lord set this up in a way that no one would believe it. The Lord tested us a lot this year, but He set this up to get all the glory.”
“For your faith to be more important than your job, for your family to be more important than that job … We all know that’s the way it should be, but we’re afraid to say that sometimes. Lovie’s not afraid to say it and I’m not afraid to say it.” says Tony Dungy.
“We are so excited to see the Bears and Colts in the Super Bowl,” Pugh, a close friend of both head coaches, said. “We could not have picked two better coaches to represent all that is good about sports.”
