After S&P downgraded US Treasuries on Friday, equity markets took a big hit on Monday. Dow dropped 634.76 (5.55%) to close at 10,809.85. Nasdaq dropped 174.72 (6.90%) to close at 2,357.69. Even with Treasury downgraded, yield went down. Relatively speaking, guess they are still considered the safest investment around.
