I was able to successfully do my first cross compile on a Linux box to my Zaurus. I followed the how-to instructions and it went without any problems. I was even able to compile the Knights Chess source code distribution and install it on my Z. As a note, the source code distribution requires the chess engines to be downloaded separately. And I'd have to say that the Knights Chess game is very nice. Even if you pay for the $15 binary distribution.
