I originally tried using Blogger since it’s so popular. It was ok at first. Then after I typed in a long entry, I pressed post… and it replied that my session timed out! And I couldn’t go back to retrieve what I typed in. OK, I learned quickly to compose outside of blogger, then cut and paste it in. Then last week, the Blogger site was unreachable. That was the last straw. Now I decided to use GreyMatter. And I’m liking it so far. First of all, it’s free. Second, it’s only a perl program so I don’t need anything special on the server side. Third, it’s got lots of good features: searching, entry bookmarking, commenting, template driven, and many others.
