Derek Turner, a derivatives trader based in the Bahamas, originally born in New Zealand, has proposed a new World Trade Center architect to replace the destroyed Twin Towers. Though he doesn’t have any experience in designing buildings, his proposal is a bold one. His new tower will be 129 ft higher than the Twin Towers with an additional 301 ft communications tower to make it stand at 1720 ft tall.

Some interesting concepts is that the building would be comprised of 5 cylinders. Four cylinders would surround a fifth cylinder for a central support. It would also have a sonic defense system capable of destroying airplanes.

He also seems to be a religious person. From his website, it states:

“Mr Derek Turner’s vision is an unequivocal ‘turning of the other cheek’, a powerful statement of his spiritual faith and belief that the message of resurrection is not only redeeming, but more vital and more dynamic than before.”

Also, in a newspaper article, he says, “A city built on the hill cannot be hid.”
