Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death

If you were given poison to drink, would you drink it? No? What if it tasted good? Still no? What if it was free? Still no way? What if you were justed ask to hold it in your hand, but you didn’t have to drink it?

It all sounds ridiculous. But we don’t seem to think the same way with sin. Sin poisons our soul and kills our spirit. Yet, if it tastes good, we’ll grab for it. And if it’s free, we’ll dive for it. And sometimes we don’t drink it immediately, but rather just hold it and look at it. Then, more often than not, we’ll eventually drink it.

So, next time you’re tempted with sin, ask yourself the question, “Would I drink poison even if it tasted good and it’s free?” Then ask yourself, “Would I sin and kill my spirit even if it tasted good and it’s free?”
