I had asked a question on the Gindick Harp board on what’s a good beginner blues harp. And the Hohner Special 20 was recommended by several. So the other day, I stopped by a local music store to find one. And what do you know, they were having a 30% off sale on all harmonicas!
I already had a Golden Melody and I find that there’s very little difference to me between the two. As a matter of fact, I have several cheapo Bluesband harps that I picked up at Cracker Barrel for $4 a piece. And the Special 20 isn’t that much better than the $4 ones. However, it does have a slight edge on sound quality and bendability than the others.
