I don’t really subscribe to all the fad diets out there. But, here’s some guidelines that I try to follow:
– Burn off more calories than you eat
– Have a “small stomach” by eating small portions per meal
– Eat a variety of foods
– Eat plenty of food with fiber
– Avoid overprocessed foods
– Limit desserts
– Prefer water over all other drinks
– Limit nutritionless drinks (soft drinks, coffee)
– Limit transfats
– Limit deep fried foods
– Limit refined sugar
– Take pure food vitamins
– Limit artificial additives, preservatives
– Fast one day (3 meals) per week
