This past weekend, we went to visit Savannah. One very interesting thing happened while we were there. SL was taking the kids out to lunch and was trying to find a fast food restaurant. She couldn’t find it so she stepped inside a hardware store for directions. As she was talking with a black lady behind the counter, a Chinese lady came up and talked with her in Mandarin. SL found out that she owned the store and also used to live in Atlanta. And she also used to go to the Taiwanese church. And then she figured out that SL was my wife. It turned out that the owners of the store are the parents of some members of the youth group that I was leading in the Taiwanese church. What an amazing providential set of coincidences to meet them! We ended up spending an extra night in Savannah at their place and also visited their church on Sunday.
