The Debating Christianty & Religion forum experienced a major hack this morning. The forum was disabled and all the posts were filled with profanity. I reported it to the phpBB forum, but looks like nobody else has experienced this. Fortunately, I was able to restore it from last month’s backup.
I looked at the apache log some more and it looks like the hacker was targeting religious forms with this particular vulnerability. The referal log says he came from a Google search of “religion forum”. And I had the particular mod that he could exploit.
Hmm, I just noticed that my forum is number one for Google search of “religion forum”.
