This past Labor Day weekend, our family went to Asheville, NC. The highlight of the trip was visiting Grandfather Mountain. It was a tad pricey ($40 for the family), but was worth visiting. The top was the Mile High Swinging Bridge (fortunately, it did not swing too much). And there is also a “nature preserve”, which is more like a mini-zoo. They have eagles, bears, otters, cougars, and deers in the preserve. We also got to see a hummingbird while we were eating lunch.
