Today, we took advantage of the free admission to the High Museum of Art. All residents of Fulton County can get in for free on the first Saturday of the month. I just showed them my drivers license and they let us all in. Otherwise, it would’ve costed us $50 for all of us to get in.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been to the Atlanta Museum. And they’ve really tried to make it children friendly. There’s a children’s activity area where they can draw, build blocks, play with large noodles, and play with a large magnetic board. They also have a rollable backpack full of activities as they visit different exhibits in the permanent collection. And they also had an acrylic painting for kids on the lower level.
Right now, there are exhibits from the Louvre. They have a free self-guided headphone that explains some of the exhibits. The Louvre exhibit was quite packed with people. You could almost barely move since there were so many people there.
I’m not sure how long they’re going to have free admission, but if you’re a resident of Fulton County, I’d definitely recommend taking advantage of it.
