I’d describe 2006 as “getting settled”. At the beginning of the year, we didn’t know what our house situation would be. We didn’t even know if we’d be staying in Atlanta. We were still looking for a new church. And I was also looking for a different job.
Now, we’ve moved into a new house. Rented out the old house. Regularly attend Clear Springs Baptist Church. And I have a full-time position with Verisign and getting to work from home.
With so many major life changes in one year, it could’ve been a very stressful period. The saving grace was that I was able to work from home. And also that I got out of Java development. So, it freed up my schedule to handle the house situation. If I had a full-time Java development job, I don’t see how I would’ve been able to handle it.

Jul – Had head shaved for first time
Jul – Moved into new house

Sep – Kids started Awana
Sep – Kids take first art classes
Sep – Started going to Asian Mens’ Bible Study
Oct – Inlaws from Taiwan visit
Oct – Avram started Upward basketball
Nov – Zach can say alphabet
Dec – Forum hit 2000 members
Now that the house, church, and work are settled, I’m hoping that 2007 will be a year of building and growth.
